Barbi Ares is an Argentinian artist whose work channels the dream, the body, and the feminine into a visual language of transformation. At its center is a recurring inquiry: the female figure as archetype of power, memory, and the fragility from which authenticity is drawn. She works with 3D, artificial intelligence, photo manipulation, and collage to build her visual world.
Her path began studying film, then architecture, finally she trained and graduated as an interior designer. It was the isolation of the pandemic that turned her toward 3D software, and from there toward image-making itself: characters, fashion, and eventually the tools of artificial intelligence.
Where her training once shaped physical space, her work has since moved inward. What began, under The Architecture of Becoming, as a study of destruction, introspection, and renewal, the scars of change as necessary stages of self, has given way to Inhabited States: a body of work that treats the body itself as territory, spaces as shelter or prison, and comfort as a construct that can conceal its own limits. Her work has been shown across Argentina, the US, the UK, Italy, China, France, Canada, Estonia, Spain, and Mexico, and as a resident of the Digital Renaissance Art Residency.

Barbi Ares transmutes emotion into visual alchemy. Working at the intersection of the dreamlike and the surreal, her practice immerses itself in the dual nature of existence, the tension between fragility and strength, the interior world and the spaces we inhabit.
At the center of this language stands the female body: psychological territory that shelters and imprisons in equal measure, an archetype of power and resilience whose authenticity lives in the embrace of its own vulnerability.
Her narratives are woven from the essence of color, light, and movement, materialized through 3D, artificial intelligence, photo manipulation, and collage, a process that allows for the transmutation of concept and emotion into images of profound resonance, visual portals that invite a visceral encounter with the enigmatic and the transcendent.
Ultimately, her work is a tribute to the capacity for transformation: a space where the sublime and the raw coexist, and where beauty is found in the most complex corners of both our reality and our dreams.
